County Junior Squads Elite Squads

Congratulations if you have made it through to the Elite Squads. If you are here you may be selected to represent Cheshire in Inter County matches. You will also probably have an England ranking and eligible for selection to a regional or national team. You may be invited to further training.

It should go without saying that you should be proud of what you have achieved so far and proud to represent Cheshire, if selected.

We expect you to train frequently at your club and also to be a good example to other juniors in your club in the way that you conduct yourself and in the way that you play.

Squash is not only an individual game, but also a team game, so we expect you to support others as they play their matches.

Dates of Elite training venues to be announced

Transitional Squads

Having progressed through the Potential Squad you are now well on the way to the higher groups. Expectations in the Transitional squad are that you show a determination to improve and a commitment to play and train regularly at your club. We recommend also that you have some individual coaching.

The county coach will give you further advice

Potential Squads

This will be one of the early steps from club to county. By entering the Cheshire Grand Prix the county coach will know about you and may invite you to further training in this potential squad. Your club coach may also recommend you to the county coach. If you are keen, this is a great opportunity to meet players from other clubs.
